GhostTTY is Mitchel Hashimotoās labour of love project. Thatās the same Hashi who created Terraform and Hashicorp. He probably knows a thing or two about writing modern TTY emulators in Zig! This one might be worth a look.
š Oracle Cloud hacked, or fake news?
It seems like just about everyone except for Oracle themselves agrees they were hacked. With multiple breeches reported by highly credible sources itās hard to look past the impact to customers. Check if your domain was affected here.
š³ Seeking Docker alternatives
Docker is great. Everyone uses it in some capacity. But letās face it⦠itās painfully slow on Mac⦠(and licensing is becoming a creeping concern) OrbStack is an API compatible Docker alternative. That means it looks and feels just like Docker but performs and behaves much better.

It seems like not so long ago every corporate man and their proverbial dog was uploading their sensitive data & workloads into the cloud faster than you could say āhow much battery life does my UPS have leftā or āwhen was the last time we fired up our diesel generator?ā
The complexities of small-time datacenter management gave way to the economy of scale achieved by AWS & friends. Now that everyoneās data is safely residing on other-peoples-computers It might be time to start asking about how safe it really is.
